Art Under Fire

On April 5th 2025, I had the honour of presenting my solo exhibition, Art Under Fire, at the United Arts Club in Dublin. This exhibition was a deeply personal journey, bringing together a curated selection of my works that blend Persian miniature techniques with modern art — reflecting both my cultural heritage and my evolving identity as an artist.

Throughout the day, more than 100 guests visited the venue — artists, friends, supporters, and those curious about Persian culture and visual storytelling. The response was incredibly warm and heartfelt.

Gavin Rothwell gave the welcome and opening remarks of the exhibition, followed by my own talk where I shared insights into my creative process, the themes I explore, and why this exhibition carries such significance for me — especially as a woman and an artist shaped by memory, migration, and resilience.Art Under Fire explored themes such as cultural identity, discrimination and violence against women, beauty in struggle, and the reimagining of tradition. Many of the pieces invited emotional responses — sparking reflection, connection, and dialogue among visitors.

The highlight of the reception was a speech by the distinguished Sky News journalist Alex Crawford, whose powerful words brought a new depth to the conversation about the role of art in times of conflict, transformation, and hope. Her presence and support elevated the event in a profoundly meaningful way.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who helped make this exhibition possible. Your belief in this vision meant the world to me. This exhibition was not just about placing art on walls — it was about creating a shared space for truth, beauty, and resistance. I carry with me the conversations, emotions, and energy of that day, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who joined me, in person or in spirit.

Here’s to the stories we tell, the cultures we honour, and the voices we uplift — through art, and beyond.
